Our used test car for this week comes in the form of a 2006 Toyota Rav4 2.0 4x4.
This is a very fine example if you take into account that the vehicle has only done 43000km in two years. As with all cars from Auto Pedigree Meadowdale, the car is mechanically in good condition.
The interior of the Rav4 is modern and good-looking. Its sporty dials come with a backlight that is soft on the eyes during the night. Leather seats add to the overall luxury feel and all the controls are easy to reach and operate.
Having good fuel economy, the Rav4 would have kept its owner smiling although the fuel price is at a record high. The four-cylinder 2.0 engine may not have the largest displacement, but is powerful enough to fulfil most tasks. It delivers 112kW and an even more impressive 194Nm and is mated to a smooth five-speed gearbox delivering power to all four wheels.
There is also enough power for overtaking and to cruise at freeway speeds without the need to constantly play with the gears. Standard luxury features include CD player, aircon and electric windows.
