The tragic death of Lekwe Miriam "Shopa" Lebelo has robbed the community of Sehlakwane village in Limpopo of a dedicated administrator and mathematics and physical science teacher.

She taught at Skhosana High School near Grobblersdal from 1992, when she joined as an ordinary teacher.

Through her dedication and hard work she was promoted to the level of head of department for sciences three years later.

She was further rewarded with the deputy principal post in 2003.

Three years later she became acting principal until her death on July 13 at the Pretoria Academic Hospital, where she had been admitted after a car accident on June 30 in Middelburg.

Lebelo will be buried tomorrow at Grasvlei village. The service starts at 6:30am.
