Gauteng North Softball will hold an open day tournament for school children in the area tomorrow.
Andre Wessels, president of the association, says they are expecting about 4000 children from primary and high schools around the area and in other parts of Gauteng to take part. The tournament will take place at Sonitas School in Tshwane from 9am.
The tournament has been held for the past four years, and its intention is to encourage the overall improvement in the performance of the softball players.
Wessels said they will be on the lookout for talented kids who can make it at provincial level in future. - Linda Moreotsene
