Members of the Karate Association of Gauteng North (Kagano) will gather tomorrow at Thaba Tshwane in Tshwane.

The meeting, whose theme is "Athletes first", will address concern over the dwindling numbers of children attending karate events. Development officer Patrick Tabane said the number of children participating has more than halved in recent months.

"We used to have about 400 children attending tournaments, but now only about 200 or less arrive. We hope the meeting will take care of this," said Tabane. - Linda Moreotsene
