Joining multitudes all over the world, Channel O's flagship programme, O-Boma, will celebrate Madiba's 90th birthday tomorrow.

The celebration of the worldrespected icon's birthday will take the form of a special show steered by the popular Lungsta.

Known for its selection of music and showcasing of African artists, O-Boma will on Friday give Africans a chance to send birthday wishes to the struggle stalwart Nelson Mandela.

Fittingly the O-Boma topic of the day centres on respect, with viewers being asked who they respect most and Lungsta posing the difficult question whether society has lost respect for things that matter.

Viewers should log on to the O-Boma social networking site www.channelo.co.za - where the O-Boma topics of the day are posted for comments.

The best remarks from viewers are shared on the live weekday show. Viewers in SA SMS to 34080 (SMSes cost R2). Viewers in Nigeria SMS to 33353 (SMSes cost N50). Viewers in rest of Africa SMS to +2783 920 8401 (SMSes cost Standard International Rates). SMSes can also be sent via the website for free! O-Boma - Meet the rest of Africa broadcasts from Monday to Friday at 3p, and repeated every day at 6am.
