When President Thabo Mbeki fully controlled the ANC his faction labelled the SACP and Cosatu ultra-leftist, perhaps because they differed with Mbeki.

Now that power has gone to the heads of some members of Jacob Zuma's NEC, they call the judiciary counter-revolutionary. All because Zuma will soon appear on corruption charges.

Dikgang Moseneke is one of the judges labelled counter-revolutionary. Moseneke, who spent 10 years on the island at the age of 15, cannot be a counter-revolutionary. And what revolution is the judiciary countering - high interest rates, rising prices, patronage, corruption and unbridled capitalism?
