At a meeting attended by David Will, Fifa's honorary vice president, the world soccer body said the blowing of vuvuzelas will also be allowed inside the stadiums.
The meeting took place in Johannesburg last week.
Initially, Fifa were against the use of vuvuzelas during the World Cup, saying some of the supporters might use them to cause problems during the games.
But the South African soccer authorities assured Fifa that the vuvuzela, an instrument made out of plastic, will not cause problems.
Popular soccer fan Freddy "Saddam" Maake, an executive member of Safsa, said: "This is great news and we applaud Fifa for coming up with that ruling.
"The Vuvuzela is unique to Africans, that is why it is so popular in Ghana and other African countries after we introduced it to them during the Afcon."
