Kaizer Chiefs' mentor Muhsin Ertugral says his focus is on the traditional rivalry against Orlando Pirates rather than Manchester United in the yearly Vodacom Challenge that kicks off in Cape Town on Saturday.
Ertugral believes that beating Pirates will be more vital and an honour for them.
"It is a derby no matter how you look at it. That is why we are determined to win it in Port Elizabeth.
"Our preparations went according to plan but we can't wait to meet Manchester for our youngsters to gain more experience from the English and European champions.
"It will be a learning process against the soccer giants, but against Pirates our pride and prestige will be at stake," he said.
The Amakhosi coach added that their game against Manchester would be an exhibition match as compared to that against Pirates, whose rivalry goes back to the now-defunct National Professional Soccer League in the early 1970s.
He said all the players were back in training. Mabhuti Khanyeza was the only one missing.
"We don't know where he is, maybe he's afraid to come back because of pressure, but we'll only know on Monday," he said.
The Naturena outfit's failure to acquire Bernard Parker from Thanda Royal Zulu had forced the coach to go out into the market and look for a suitable left winger to fill Siphiwe Tshabalala's position.
"I want to switch Tshabalala to central midfield because he is a strong ball player who can bring some changes in that position."
Chiefs leave for Cape Town on Thursday.
