Sibusiso Zuma, the highest paid player at Mamelodi Sundowns, is confident that once he adjusts to life at the club, he will start banging in the goals.

Zuma, who was among the 10 new players unveiled by Sundowns at a posh hotel yesterday, said the side had shown interest in him for the past three seasons, which is why he opted for the Pretoria outfit.

The Bafana Bafana striker was contracted to German Bundesliga team Arminia Bielefeld and when his contract expired he headed homeward to end his playing career here.

Asked if he was not under pressure because of his huge salary, Zuma said: "I was earning more than I do now in Germany. The salary will not put me under pressure.

"I've also played with a number of these players at Bafana Bafana and before I went abroad, so I think I will adjust and start scoring goals."

The conference room was filled to capacity with Sundowns supporters and proceedings took more than two-and-a-half hours, angering some people.

Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe was often vague in answering questions, choosing to talk about his experiences when he was in Vienna attending Euro 2008.

The players who were unveiled yesterday were Siboniso Gaxa, Thembalethu Moses, Thando Mngomeni, Sydney Plaatjies, Koketso Mmotong, Kurt Lentjies, Monteiro Dario, Derrick Spencer, Katlego Mphela and Sibusiso Zuma.

The club's new kit was also unveiled, cementing their four-year partnership with Nike as the club's technical sponsor.

Motsepe said signing top local players was part of their commitment to the development and growth of South African football, particularly in light of the Fifa 2010 World Cup.

"We believe that all the role players in South African football will work together to produce a Bafana Bafana that will make all of us proud during the World Cup."

Nike SA managing director Davide Cardarelli said the partnership with Sundowns "is a confirmation of our commitment to taking football in the country and on the continent to the next level".
