Underrated but convenient

The Daihatsu Sirion is one of the most underrated cars on our roads.

Those who drive one will most certainly agree with this. Daihatsu combines excellent performance with almost class best interior space with the Sirion. If you look at the value for money aspect, you will have to go a long way to find a better deal.

Our used test car for this week comes from Auto Pedigree Meadowdale in the form of a 2006 Daihatsu Sirion 1,3-litre. From the well-looked after interior through to the paintwork, our Sirion was in good condition.

Ever since the first generation Sirion, it has always been one of the most important models for Daihatsu.

Though this is a small hatchback, there is more than enough space to see four adults sit comfortably. The interior of the car is modern and this is also the case with the controls.

The contemporary design of the Sirion, combined with its practicality, makes this car suitable for the needs of a very diverse market.

Fuel economy is one of the best attributes of the Sirion. Average fuel consumption in a combined cycle will see you driving about 13km to 14km on a litre. Power figures stand at 70kW and 120Nm.
