Masibusane Zongo, the young SuperSport United midfielder, will finally graduate to Amajita when they take on Reunion on Saturday.

Zongo was one of the regular players at Majimbos when Serame Letsoaka was still guiding the South African Under-17 national side.

"The youngster has improved tremendously in the past few weeks, he deserves the call-up," said Letsoaka, who is now the coach of Amajita.

Zongo is one of the three new players drafted into the team to travel to the Indian Ocean island. The other two are Kaizer Chiefs development's left-winger Kaizer Motomane and Ajax Cape Town striker Sameehg Doutie.

"We are not bringing new players because we are panicking, we just wanted to broaden our pool," said Letsoaka.

Kermit Erasmus, Mduduzi Nyanda, Tsepo Gumede, Aidan Jenniker and Mpho Mvelase have been dropped.

South Africa and Reunion played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their 2009 African Youth Championships qualifier at Caledonian Stadium two weeks ago.

The Reunion-bound team is:

Goalkeepers - Siyabonga Mthethwa (SS United), Vumile Nxako (Harmony Academy);

Defenders - Tlou Molekwane (Chiefs), Ramahlwe Mphahlele (Moroka Swallows), Thulani Hlatshwayo (Ajax), Choppa Mboweni (Wits), Sibusiso Mxoyana (Benoni Premier Utd);

Midfielders - Daylon Claasen, Thulani Serero (Ajax), Matomane, Mandla Masango (Chiefs), Mapidima Smart (Norwich City, England), Zongo, Philane Khwela, Kamohelo Mokotjo (all from SS United), Doctor Skosana (Tukkies);

Strikers - Thulani Ngcepe (Swallows), Michael Morton (Orlando Pirates), Doutie (Ajax) and George Maluleka (SS United).
