Former Dynamos coach Innocent Mayoyo yesterday signed a one-season contract with Nedbank Cup finalists, National First Division (NFD) outfit Mpumalanga Black Aces.

The undisclosed deal, thought to be a lucrative one, was confirmed by Aces' spokesman Thabo "T-Bose" Moroape yesterday.

"We roped in Mayoyo in the team with only one mission, to get promoted to the elite league next season. He is one coach with great experience of the NFD," Morape said.

"His track record dates back to 2006 when he took Winners Park to the then Platinum playoffs. A year later he turned Moroka Swallows into a formidable side before he delivered Dynamos to the playoffs this season."

The former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper is said to be a good motivator who understands his players.

Mayoyo was not available for comment yesterday.

Aces have signed Ndodana Sibanda, Kanika Micheline, Bhekithemba Ndlovu, Songwe Chalwe and Godfrey "West" Nobula. They have also released 10 players.
