I wish to state categorically that in none of the statements issued by my office did I give the impression of a wrangle with SABC CEO Advocate Dali Mpofu.
It is important that as the minister of communications I stay above the parties in dispute at the SABC so as to make an impartial decision based on the reports I receive. The statement said that we have as yet not received a report from Mpofu and acknowledge reports received from the board and different levels of management. I wrote a letter to the chairman of the SABC board and not to the group CEO as claimed.
