Manie Reyneke, Lions chief executive, believes the signing of the experienced Lawrence Sephaka on Monday will bring stability to the team's tight five.

The former Springbok prop has been given a renewable one-year contract by the Doornfontein side.

An excited Reyneke said: "The experience of Sephaka will, without any doubt, add fireworks to the forwards, especially the tight five."

Sephaka was part of the Springbok squad that played in the 2003 World Cup in Australia that was knocked out in the quarterfinals.

He has hit form after spending a year in France playing for Toulon.

Lions coach Eugene Eloff has included him in the starting lineup against the Falcons at Ellis Park Stadium tomorrow at 7.10pm.

Starting lineup: Earl Rose, Louis Ludik, Jaco van Schalkwyk, Walter Venter, Heini Gordon, Louis Strydom, Chris Jonck, Wilhelm Koch, Franco van der Merwe, Cobus Grobbelaar, Anton van Zyl, Dewald Senekal, Sephaka, Ethienne Reynecke and JC Janse van Rensburg.
