More than 400 Grade 12 pupils from Khutsong have been attending winter school camps for the past week.
By yesterday, an additional 170 pupils gathered in Khutsong, Carletonville, in the hope of being transported to the camps in Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom in North West.
Those who are already in the camps are divided into two groups.
The boys attend lessons at Klerksdorp's Hoër Tegnies Skool and sleep at a hotel in nearby Stilfontein.
The girls attend classes at Potchefstroom's Vuselela College and sleep at Promosa High School's hostel.
