These trends reveal the total failure of the flawed SAPS policy to disarm perpetrators of crime. Robbers and hijackers take advantage of obvious opportunities. The temptation of easy pickings has also attracted many SAPS members to lives of crime.

Chief culprits are the crime-friendly Firearms Control Act and the indoctrination campaign of NGOs and politicians demanding more victim compliance to crime and criminals every day.
