Despite its many hardships, Zimbabwe remains intact with most of its functions in place and also with great wealth from platinum, recently-discovered oil, uranium and other minerals.

Calls for military intervention by the UK and the US are extremely worrisome. Imperialists would have us believe that they are concerned about democracy, but evidence shows the contrary. The US has gone on record as saying: "We have no friends, but interests." So, since it is not a friend what then is its interest in Zimbabwe?

We say no to military intervention in Zimbabwe, no to imperialist and foreign aggression. Military intervention has not assisted any country anywhere in the world, except to bring untold suffering to its people.

Somalia is dislocated and destroyed as is Iraq and Sudan. Zimbabwe will also be destroyed. An then it will be South Africa.

Workers and their organisations, our people and youth must support our call for a campaign against the occupation of Zimbabwe. We will work with anyone who will defend the people and sovereignty of Zimbabwe.
