FC AK, who failed in their quest for automatic promotion to the Absa Premiership, are still harbouring hopes of playing in the elite league in the 2008-09 season.

Their mission continues tomorrow when they take on Dynamos at Eldorado Park Stadium in another round of National First Division playoffs.

This will decide the second team for promotion to the Premiership after Maritzburg United.

Tomorrow's playoffs will also see David Thidiela's Black Leopards up against Bay United at Wolfson Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

All the matches will start at 3pm.

The Dynamites, who have been frustrated by the unavailability of their home ground NkowaNkowa Stadium, near Tzaneen, will host Bahumi in the return leg at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday.

Lidoda Duvha entertain United at Malamulele Stadium near Giyani, also on Sunday.

These matches will also start at 3pm.

The two-legged finals will be played on July 9 and 13.

Leopards were forced to relocate to Malamulele after the closure of their traditional venue, Thohoyandou Stadium, which is under renovation.

Khwezi "Meneer" Masondo, FC AK's general manager, told Sowetan yesterday they were still confident of succeeding in the playoffs.

"It is not yet over and we will fight tooth and nail to fulfill our objective," Masondo said.

July Malabela, Dynamos' managing director, said though they were frustrated by the closure of NkowaNkowa Stadium, they were nevertheless confident of their chances in the off-season showpiece.

"We are focused on the playoffs and we will try not to be demoralised by our relocation to Polokwane. We are also appealing to our supporters around Polokwane to come in big numbers to back us on Sunday. The same should happen in Eldorado Park on Wednesday," said Malabela yesterday.
