They spotted a suspicious looking car and when the suspects entered a filling station at Madiba Park near Seshego they were arrested.

Commercial explosives and several firearms, including R5 rifles with live rounds, pistols, hammers and crow bars were found in their possession.

The vehicle driven by the suspects was confiscated.

Following up on a tip-off, police also arrested two suspects in connection with three ATM bombings at Matoks in March.

Khehla Hlatshwayo, 35, of Mofolo, Soweto, and Neo Tladi, 36, of Orlando, have both appeared in court. They are in custody.
