Two ATMs were bombed in Tabankulu, near Mthatha yesterday, Eastern Cape police said.

Two ATMs were bombed in Tabankulu, near Mthatha yesterday, Eastern Cape police said.

Superintendent Mike Fatyela said an Absa ATM and a Standard Bank ATM were bombed on the main street at about 2am.

The explosion shattered the windows of surrounding businesses and damaged a bus.

He said an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

No arrests have been made and police are investigating. - Sapa
