Moroka Swallows' management have embarked on an ambitious plan to make the Dube Birds one of the best sides in the Premiership in the new season.
The Birds have acquired three Brazilians who arrived in the country this week to beef up the side before the league starts.
They are midfielder Igor Alvis, and defenders Vinicius Da Silva and Davi Rancan who have been training with the team since Monday.
Swallows boss Leon Prins, who returned from Ghana probably on a scouting mission recently, was tight-lipped about the players, who are believed to be contracted to the club for three seasons.
"I will only unveil our plans for the season on July 1, at the moment I'm not saying anything," said Prins last week.
In another move, 11 players whose contracts expire at the end of the month have been released by the club. They are Edzai Kasinauyo, Tebogo Monyai, Patrick Mabedi, Patrick Twala, Bjorn Gugger, Songwe Chalwe, Evans Gwekwerere, Aubrey Mathibe, Brent Geyser, Helings Muakasongwe and George Hummel.
Goalkeeper Aubrey Mathibe was grabbed by former Swallows coach Ian Gorowa when he left for Thanda Royal Zulu a few weeks ago. Japhet Zwane has joined AmaZulu.
Gugger said he was out of contract with Swallows and that he had received a few offers but he had left his options open.
"I have not played for a while and what I'm looking at is to go for trials before the league resumes," he said.
Kasinauyo said he was thinking of retiring but was still talking with his family to see what line of action to take.
"I want to look beyond football because I firmly believe that I have played my part in the game."
