The minister, who is in Morocco for a conference, was speaking via a video link to mark Public Service Day celebrations being held at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research Conference Centre in Pretoria. The event will also be celebrated at an awards ceremony at the UN.
She said the day served to "deepen democracy" by promoting good governance while recognising public service workers.
"This theme [from policy to result-based implantation] encompasses the need to accelerate current national projects to bring services to the people in an integrated, timely and efficient manner.
"Service delivery should be people-driven; the support systems and mechanisms can make a fundamental difference in supporting and facilitating effective and efficient delivery of services." - Sapa
