FC AK have appealed to their supporters to come in throngs to spur the players on in their crunch first-leg playoffs clash against Maritzburg United tomorrow.

The match kicks off at 3pm at Eldorado Park Stadium and if the two teams can maintain the form they displayed in the National First Division (NFD) last season, it will be a thrill-a-minute affair.

The Team of Choice host Bahumi at Harry Gwala Stadium in the second leg on Sunday.

"We are making a passionate plea to people of Eldorado Park and surrounding areas to come in big numbers and rally behind the team," Khwezi "Meneer" Masondo, FC AK's general manager, said yesterday.

"Our supporters rallied behind us to play in the playoffs during our case and we are now determined to make them happy in this event. They will gain free entry into the stadium," he added.

The winning team over two legs will gain automatic promotion to the Absa Premiership next season. The losers will be joined by Bay United and Dynamos, runners-up in the Inland and Coastal streams, and Black Leopards in a second round of playoffs for the other Premiership berth.
