This is also thanks to the Philips learning academy of nature topics project, Plant, which has been established to help struggling disadvantaged schools and their pupils with both feeding and educating the pupils.
Participating pupils are encouraged through Plant to learn skills needed to sustain themselves, their schools and their families in the long run.
Plant, which is part of Philips' corporate responsibility initiative Supply Opportunities and Achieve Results (Soar), has given garden tools and seeds to Ditau as well as Welheminah Hoskins Primary School in Riverlea.
