JZ should have spoken out

It is encouraging to hear Jacob Zuma lashing out at undisciplined comrades in all structures of the ANC.

Zuma is correct when he says the trend of taking ANC issues to court must stop.

It has always been the tradition of the ANC that all internal problems should be solved through internal processes.

The solution to this boring trend is simple - expel all instigators of such negative actions because, really, the ANC brand has suffered a lot.

The ANC should also encourage open debate among members because frank debates create space for ambitious people to mobilise votes if they want to sit on executive committees of various structures and limits the effectiveness of commonly used " block votes" to unseat sitting members.

I agree with Siphiwe Nyanda when he says members of the NPA must be vetted so that their profiles are checked.

It's clear to most of us that the ANC has been infiltrated by former apartheid agents-collaborators; that is why we see discontent in all structures of the movement.

Zuma's failure to call Julius Malema to order will work against him in the long run.

I think he should have taken the opportunity to show his seriousness about discipline by distancing himself from such unfortunate statements of the ANCYL president.
