Teachers and pupils at the Siyabathanda Special School in Clermont, West of Durban, had reason to celebrate yesterday when they received clothing and food from the eThekwini municipality's Batho Pele task team.
The project is aimed at providing support to the needy. The initiative was to celebrate Public Service Week.
School principal Janet Dlamini said: "The donation would make a huge difference to the children as we are an independent school battling to find sponsors to feed the 43 children under our care." - Mhlaba Memela
