Soccer was her first love

Noxolo Noluthando Posile was known in the community for her love of soccer and her work at school.

"Koyo", as she was affectionately known on and off the pitch, was the first female teacher at Margaret Gwele Primary School to coach soccer. She was also a vocal Kaizer Chiefs supporter.

Her talent encompassed other sporting codes and music. As an athletics coach Koyo helped her school win 35 gold, 40 silver and 60 bronze medals.

Koyo was born on August 4 1961 in Lady Frere, Eastern Cape. She obtained a Diploma in Teaching at the Soweto College of Education in 1989 and started working at Emadlelweni Primary. She moved to Margaret Gwele Primary in 1991.

She passed away studying towards her Advanced Certificate in Education at the University of Johannesburg.

She leaves behind her husband and four children.

She will be buried tomorrow at the Avalon Cemetery. The service starts at 9.30am at Kopanong Hall.
