New Era Santos will use the Coca-Cola Shanduka competition on Sunday as part of their preparations for the new season in the Safa Ekurhuleni regional SAB League.
The Tsakane outfit gained promotion to the SAB League after securing second spot in the regional Metropolitan playoffs in March.
They are among the 16 teams selected from the Metropolitan League by the region to compete in the yearly event that kicked off last week in Duduza.
This week's games take place at Vosloorus grounds and Santos come up against Newcastle United at 4pm.
Charles Mokoena, Santos' coach, said: "This event will afford us a chance to keep the boys in fine shape during the off-season. It will also give our new coach Percy Legodi enough time to assess the boys and build a strong side."
Legodi joined Santos towards the end of last season.
Other games: City Stars v Junior Spinners (10am); Movers v Valencia (noon); Might Birds v Vosloo Sports (2pm).
