big guns for soweto service

This year's event, jointly hosted by the South African Broadcasting Corporation, National Youth Commission and the University of Johannesburg, marks the 32nd anniversary of the Soweto uprising of June 16 1976. It is also marks 14 years of democracy.

The main commemoration, whose theme is: Entrenching Our Democracy-All Youths to the Polls, will be held at the University of Western Cape in Cape Town.

This will also be the theme that will be carried out by all government departments to all nine provinces

The theme for the event at the University of Johannesburg's Soweto campus, however, is Soweto Rising. - Victor Mecoamere
