Police spokesman Inspector Sello Mangene said the girl's aunt discovered on Monday that the girl had not slept at home.
Family members went to a shack that belonged to a man with whom the girl was last seen .
The 32-year-old man refused to open the door until the family said they would call the police.
In the shack they found the girl. She said she had met the man on the street on Sunday. He had dragged her to the shack and raped her.
The police have opened a case of kidnapping and rape.
Also in Rietgat, the body of a 47-year-old man was found in his house on Monday afternoon. He had been shot dead. - Sapa
