At least 24 primary school children were hurt when a minibus they were travelling in collided with a truck last week at an intersection on the Old Johannesburg road in De Deur, Meyerton.

The children, aged between six and 10, were on their way to school when the bus crashed.

Netcare 911 paramedics and the provincial ambulance service attended to the children and they were transported by ambulances to the Kopanong Hospital.

The drivers of the two vehicles were not injured.
