Most of Africa became independent in the 1960s, but leaders did nothing to improve their people's lives or develop their countries. There is no human rights culture or democratic institutions in Africa.

A Botswana weekly reported last month that a boy aged 17 was arrested in Nigeria for armed robbery he didn't commit, spent seven years awaiting trial and was freed this year. In jail he heard police executing inmates, who were forced to admit to crimes they didn't commit. There should be a second African revolution.
