Help is still pouring in for thousands of displaced foreign nationals after the outbreak of xenophobic attacks three weeks ago that have claimed the lives of more than 60 people.
Churches, celebrities, business and the public are working together to help the immigrants.
Yesterday, the Bosmont Methodist Church received a donation of R100000 from the African Access Holdings company, whose representative was accompanied by actresses Palesa Mocuminyane and Winnie Modise.
The church's minister Reverend Thamsanqa Mdingi said: "When the violence started we decided to mobilise church members, the community and local business people.
"The response has been quiet amazing. God is wonderful."
Mdingi said they had received a lot of help and had already distributed some of the food parcels and clothing.
African Access Holdings manager Thabane Zulu said: "This is obligatory to us. We have to plough back to the communities we serve. We cannot sit back and do nothing while our fellow African brothers and sisters are suffering."
Mocuminyane said: "We were all created in God's image. God loves all of us despite where we come from."
Modise said: "I happy that the church is helping fight xenophobia. We all need to do that. We must not just observe.
"Let us stand up and fight xenophobia. What the foreigners have been put through is terrible."
