Glory beckons at Baroka trials

Vodacom League outfit Baroka FC, from GaMphahlele in Limpopo, will hold trials with the aim of reinforcing their team and unearthing more talent in the province.

Vodacom League outfit Baroka FC, from GaMphahlele in Limpopo, will hold trials with the aim of reinforcing their team and unearthing more talent in the province.

The trials will be held at Lebowakgomo stadium on Sunday from 8am.

Players between the ages of 10 and 23 are invited to the trials. Players are expected to bring their ID documents, playing kits, refreshments and to arrange their own transport and accommodation.

l Residents of Greater Tubatse municipality in Limpopo will take part in the Mayor's Half-Marathon tomorrow as part of the municipality's sports development programme. The marathon will start at 8am from Riva Cross and finish at Steelpoort.

There will be 5km and 15km races and the entrance fee is R30.

l Limpopo soccer masters will knuckle down to serious business when they compete against each other at the University of Limpopo on Sunday. The matches kick off at 10am.

Fixtures: Mankweng v Lebowakgomo (10am), Polokwane v Moria Sweepers (10am), Solomondale v Dihlophaneng (12pm), Manyora v Moletjie (2pm).

l The finals of Polokwane Local Football Association's top 16 tournament will be played tomorrow at the University of Limpopo and it will see Moria Sweepers taking on FC Pride at 1pm, and Rare Water engaging TK Stars at 3pm. - Sowetan
