Faith in Stix Morewa Challenge
Peter "Kop" Matseke, managing director of Clinix Health Group, has pledged to continue sponsoring the yearly Stix Morewa Soccer Challenge.
He made the undertaking at the draw of the last 32 of the yearly tournament in Pimville yesterday. Matseke said it was a great honour to be associated with the tournament.
"It is also an opportunity to mould the future of South African football by affording the youngsters a platform," he said.
Phil Mogodi, Safa Soweto president said: "We hope to continue producing good players from this competition."
Last year Thabo Makhothi, Katlego Pule and Lebohang Motumi were recruited by Bidvest Wits' U-20 side after shining at the tournament.
The games will be staged on June 16 and the finals are scheduled for August.
