Premier Soccer League (PSL) chief executive Kjetil Siem says he is not worried about the delay in the arbitration over FC AK's corruption case and is positive the matter could be finalised next week.

Siem was speaking to Sowetan after the postponement of the arbitration yesterday until next Tuesday.

Mpumalanga Black Aces, who accused Bahumi boss Aziz Kara of trying to bribe their goalie Michel Babale to throw their match in December, had failed to send their legal representative to yesterday's sitting. Bahumi were represented and so was the PSL.

Siem said he was hopeful the matter would be resolved before the kickoff of the National First Division playoffs, which get under way at the end of the month.

"I'm convinced that we can get a solution to this case next week. I don't see it dragging further. We all want it to be finalised," Siem said.

Zola Majavu, the PSL's prosecutor, said the sooner the matter is finalised the better.

"I'm concerned because June is the Fifa month and other countries can call their players for national duty," said Majavu yesterday.

"Another worrying factor here is that some of the players' contracts will expire at the end of the month."
