Blacks must apologise to foreigners

The Black Lawyers Association has rightly called on the government to declare the horrific xenophobic attacks on helpless foreigners a "crime against humanity".

Every once in a while, Archbishop Desmond Tutu tells white South Africans to apologise for benefitting from apartheid.

Perhaps Tutu should now tell black South Africans to apologise for the crime against the unfortunate displaced foreigners.

Their actions have resulted in thousands living in refugee camps and as many fleeing South Africa in fear. An apology may help alleviate the suffering of the foreigners and the seething anger of their governments.
