No amount of anger or discontent can justify killing people, nor burning their property and beating them to a pulp.

There was no one to protect our heroes during the hateful apartheid regime except Africans from neighbouring countries, whom we are now thanking by killing them.

The time has come for South Africans to realise that we are no better than other Africans.

People who were bitter about not getting employment or basic services - even considering allegations that the foreigners accept low wages or sell drugs - had other avenues to express their discontent.

It is unwise to point fingers but the facts are staring us in the face. More than 56 lives could have been saved had there been swift intervention from all the stakeholders.
