More provinces are expected to produce their provincial champions for the yearly Kay Motsepe soccer cup this weekend.
Schools from Mpumalanga will gather at Mhluzi stadium in Middelburg, while Beaufort West will be the place for three schools from Western Cape.
It is expected that Sozama from Middleburg may outmuscle their opponents based on the fact that they are the only school to have represented the province nationally.
Other schools that are equally strong enough to be crowned the provincial champions are Masizakhe from Gert Sibande district in Breyten, Gedlembane from Ehlanzeni district and Madizi from Bushbuckridge.
"We are calling on all the teams to be punctual and also to the soccer fanatics to come in the large numbers. We are confident that the provincial winners will represent the province well during the national championship," Chippa Nkalanga, South African Schools Football Association provincial secretary, said.
Three schools will battle for Western Cape's provincial championship at Beaufort West. Baspiaans will represent South Western district, while Speenberg will fly the flag for Western Province and Cloetesville will represent Boland.
Northern Cape and Free State have produced their representatives, with SA Van Wyk in for Northern Cape while Free State will be represented by Harmony high.
Limpopo and Gauteng, who will play their provincial finals on June 7, are also busy with their regional finals.
North West will play their provincial finals on June 14, Eastern Cape on June 21 and KwaZulu-Natal on June 28.
The national finals will be played on July 9 to 12, at a venue to be decided.
The overall winners will take home R250000, with R200000 for the runners-up, R175000 for third place and R150000 for the fourth-placed school.
