In football they talk about the end of a season as if there will be a vacuum until the beginning of the next.

In reality what it means is that teams have finished a particular league programme, and can now engage in games of their choice while also having the time to exchange players in transfer deals that are designed to bring success in the next campaign.

So while it may seem like a break in the game, it is still business as usual for the game of billions with continental challenges being high priority and other leagues in full swing.
