This is simply irresistible

Gugu Sibiya

Simply Irresistible is the latest show at Emperors Palace that is taking audiences by storm and is said to take the bite out of the chilly winter nights.

Produced and choreographed by Jared Mackenzie, and on at the new Odeon Showbar, the show will run until September exclusively at the entertainment resort. It runs from Wednesday to Saturday evenings from 9pm.

Audiences will be taken on a trip down memory lane with hits from yesteryear with the help of energetic and incredibly-talented dancers and singers.

The show is a non-stop medley of old favourites that are guaranteed to bring back fond memories.

Simply Irresistible is a high-energy spectacular that will leave audiences spellbound and mesmerised by a kaleidoscope of colour cleverly put together by a creative team lead by Jared Mackenzie, newcomer to Emperors Palace stage.

Mackenzie has danced the casino circuit for many years and knows what it takes to pull off an amazing show that audiences want to see over and over.

He started out as a dancer and soon worked his way up to feature and lead-adagio dancer for numerous shows. He produced, directed and choreographed his own shows at many casinos around the country.

Mackenzie has an eye for glitz and glamour and a passion for designing. He personally designed and created each costume, harness and headdress for Simply Irresistible.

The Odeon Showbar stage will be graced by some of South Africa's top dancers and singers. Fans will be blown away by the return of Allison Pucci, who will take on the role of lead vocalist. She will be joined by Lara Stirton and Glenn Fransman. Ten talented dancers will accompany the vocalists to make Simply Irresistible a must see.

Emperors Palace entertainment manager Anton van Wyk said: "Mackenzie's brief was to keep the show energetic, sexy and fun to watch and this talented director has done just that. We know visitors will enjoy every minute of their experience."

Tickets, at R40,50 on Wednesdays and Thursdays and R50,50 on Fridays and Saturdays, are available at the door.
