The Local Organising Committee will give the Fifa congress an update on the 2010 World Cup preparations in Australia tomorrow and Friday.
It comes after the Fifa executive yesterday once more reiterated their support for the LOC's preparations for the 2009 Confederations Cup and the World Cup.
The executive said they were confident that the South African government will keep the security situation for the two tournaments under control. The executive meeting ends today.
Irvin Khoza, chairman of the LOC, and Danny Jordaan will assure Fifa everything is going according to plan.
The duo's assurances will be corroborated by Jerome Valcke, general secretary of Fifa, who attends all the LOC board meetings.
Khoza said the LOC has decided to step up the monitoring process of all the venues for the Confederations Cup and World Cup.
"We are presenting to the executive committee of Fifa all the time and organising committee bureau. Fifa is briefed all the time in terms of the developments," Khoza said.
"We have about six members in the LOC from Fifa, including the general secretary [Valcke]. For now we are comfortable.
"What is a challenge for now is the tight monitoring of the venues. People are talking about Port Elizabeth [the new Nelson Mandela Bay Sports Complex].
"It is not Port Elizabeth alone that we are monitoring, we are focusing on all the five stadiums for the Confederations Cup.
"If there is a problem, obviously we are having a meeting in the middle of June to make a determination of all the venues.
"The earlier we make a decision the better, but we are monitoring the progress because we must not embarrass ourselves.
"If you say to the world there are five stadiums, they must be five indeed but the requirement of four or five stadiums is giving us comfort."
The other four venues that will be used for the Confederations Cup are Loftus, Royal Bafokeng, Free State and Ellis Park.
Khoza, Jordaan and Safa president Molefi Oliphant are also serving on the Fifa World Cup Organising Committee, which is chaired by Cameroonian Issa Hayatou.
Oliphant and Jordaan are also in Sydney for the congress.
