The hospital driver from Seshego accused of killing four senior colleagues at the institution will have to wait a while longer to know if he will be granted bail.

Samson Tsamago's lawyer, Ralph Ndleve, was not in court yesterday because he had other commitments.

Ndleve phoned the Seshego magistrate's court, where Tsamago, 27, was scheduled to appear on four counts of murder, asking for a postponement of the bail hearing.

Prosecutor Nkhensani Muhlari-Khasha confirmed that he had received the call.

"As for us [the state], we are ready with our arguments and hope that Tsamago's lawyer presents himself at the next hearing so that the matter can be finalised," Muhlari-Khasha said.

Magistrate PM Mogano postponed the matter to June 10.

Tsamago allegedly shot dead Putuka Mafa, the hospital's chief executive, Arnold Rambuda, Justice Maanda and Godfrey Mamashela at the Seshego Hospital on October 19 last year.
