The World Health Organisation (WHO) is doing sterling work in Africa but developed countries must be urged to do more to help.

Taiwan needs no encouragement. A 30-year exclusion from the WHO has not prevented it from helping developing countries.

A small island of 23 million people, Taiwan is a "global champion" in aid. It is regrettable that its projects are seriously hampered by its WHO exclusion.
