Fashion, music, art fusion

Gugu Sibiya

Sun International is again presenting POSI+IVE, the yearly "Larger than Life" fusion of music, fashion, art and cuisine.

The backdrop to the event will be a world-class line-up of creative talent headlined by the multi-platinum-selling band Backstreet Boys and Latino heart-throb Marcos Hernandez.

The fashion, art, cuisine and music cocktail takes place at Sun City from June 13 to 15.

It is a unique collaboration between leading local and international fashion designers, musicians, artists and chefs.

The three-day extravaganza is aimed at raising funds for Sun International's HIV-Aids initiatives the Tapologo Aids Hospice, Noah, St Michael's and the Missionvale Care Centre.

The Backstreet Boys will perform in the Superbowl on June 14 and 15.

Their repertoire will include their smash hits Quit Playing Games With My Heart, As Long As You Love Me and Larger Than Life and new hits such as Inconsolable and Helpless When She Smiles.

Festivities also include a classical music picnic on June 14. Creating excitement around it is our own Lira, Jannie Moolman and the Wall of Hope.

Paintings have been donated by Hollywood and sport celebrities. The event, which graces the walls of the Hall of Treasures from June 13 to 16, is presented by David Brown. Official viewing is on June 15 from 3pm to 5pm.

On June 13 a fundraising VIP celebration, POSI+IVE Rocks, will be held. Gallery tickets are on sale at Computicket.
