A host of top South African models, coupled with the best in home-brewed entertainment, joined forces to chase away the early morning chill at the yearly Tapologo Aids Hospice children's party.
Welcoming the guests, Tapologo's founder and Archbishop for the Rustenburg Diocese, Father Kevin Dowling, stressed the need for community involvement in the fight against HIV-Aids.
"It's a special day for our little children both here at the orphanage and in our outreach programme.
"They look forward to this day weeks in advance and I'm sure there are many sleepless nights as they eagerly await the big day," said Dowling, speaking in English and fluent Setswana.
"As you can see by the developments going on here at Tapologo, we have to increase the number of beds for people looking for hope, healing and compassion.
"But it's not only the team at Tapologo that needs to fight this problem. The community can also do a great deal to try and arrest this scourge."
With the formalities out of the way it was time for the kids to do what kids do best - party!
With music supplied by Loyiso, Malika, and Gang of Instrumentals, the children had a ball dancing to their favourite tunes.
"It's always good to do something for people less fortunate and to lend support to Tapologo," said award-winning singer Loyiso.
"The work the bishop and his team do in the Rustenburg area is unbelievable and it's a privilege to be involved."
