Who could have written a better script? Generations star Zukisa Matola is in love and the lucky guy is former SABC1 continuity and Mhlobo Wenene presenter Phumzile Zonke.

On Thursday the couple was seen on a romantic dinner date at Primi Piatti in Rosebank and on Sunday they went to church together in Randburg. They were later seen in Zonke's blue Dodge.

A well-placed source said Zonke 30, and the beautiful actor, also 30, have just started dating.

"He has always had a crush on her," the informant said. " He talked about her all the time. For him the relationship is his dream come true."

Matola, who plays Bridgette Shabane in Generations, hails from Ncembedlana township, Mthatha, Eastern Cape.

Her big TV break was in the isiXhosa drama series Tsha-Tsha in 2004, in which she played Nobuntu, a troubled young girl from the rural areas faced with the realities of teenage pregnancy and HIV-Aids.

Zonke would neither deny nor confirm their relationship.

"Yes we are seeing each other." he said. "Ndimncwasile kakhulu (I fancy her). We get along very well. I hope she likes me too."

Zonke got married in 2002 and divorced a year later.

"We had irreconcilable differences," he explained. "She did not understand the industry and felt insecure, so I decided to call it a day because she was making me unhappy. Fortunately we didn't have children."
