Award-winning gospel group Joyous Celebration is off to Durban after a successful season in East London.

Currently promoting their latest and 12th double album, Joyous 12, Joyous Celebration will perform on May 31 at the International Conference Centre in Durban.

The group also had a very successful tour launch at Pretoria's State Theatre recently. Durban music lovers should get ready for spiritual upliftment.

Since its inception in gospel group 1996 Joyous Celebration has taken gospel music to another level. Its special sound has contributed to the growth of contemporary gospel music.

Lindelani Mkhize says: "We as Joyous Celebration believe that Joyous 12's style shows it has gone back to the essence of what made it a platinum award-winning group. Nowadays we are known as one of the best-selling local music groups."

The longest running contemporary gospel ensemble, Joyous Celebration has maintained its popularity over the years.

Jabu Hlongwane says: "We certainly hope that the next 12 years will build on the foundation that was laid and take Joyous Celebration to greater heights."

The group has produced successful musicians such as Swazi Dlamini, Vicky Vilakazi, Sabatha, Ntokozo Mbambo and Keke Phoofolo, among others.
