A nail-biting finish marked the end of a long but exciting Absa Premiership yesterday.

A nail-biting finish marked the end of a long but exciting Absa Premiership yesterday.

For good measure, fixtures rolled out to a set calendar with almost clockwork precision this season. This is an achievement that seemed to elude the PSL in the past.

Capping a good season with the most lucrative league prize in the history of the PSL were generally well behaved crowds.

Heated moments between fans and coaches were few and far between.

Once again it was the heads of the coaches, not the fans, on the block, though the passion in the terraces somehow made one think otherwise.

Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. Congratulations to Gavin Hunt and Supersport United!
