Swop violence with ubuntu

What is happening in Alexandra currently is wrong. How can fellow Africans be treated as if they do not have any rights?

What is happening in Alexandra currently is wrong. How can fellow Africans be treated as if they do not have any rights?

The Bill of Rights states clearly that everyone has a right to live. And nowhere does it state that foreigners are exempt from these rights.

Those people who are behind the violence believe that the foreigners deserve to be ill- treated. They accuse the foreigners of being responsible for crime, drugs and selling their labour cheap.

The question is, who is buying the drugs? Isn't it about time that we stopped shifting the blame?

Let's take the responsibility, deal with our weaknesses and stop blaming other people.

Some people even believe that foreigners are killing South Africans during robberies and housebreaking and that when they are arrested they bribe or buy their way out of prison. Thus some South Africans are taking the law into their hands.

If this is the case, we need to find solutions. If we have lost trust in the justice system does it give us the right to kill and abuse other human beings? I understand that people might be frustrated, but the violence taking place in Alex will not solve the problem. In fact, it will make it worse.

What has happened to ubuntu South Africans?
